Ascension: Aligning to a New World Reality

One of the reasons why the planet currently has so many people is because a large proportion of us are now ready to take up the challenge and evolve into beings who will live life from a higher level of consciousness. To attain this new state of being has required us to let go of third dimensional concepts—letting go of relationships, homes, jobs, careers, and possessions whenever they did not support the attainment of this goal. Thus, the adjustment phase period has been unsettling, to say the least, for a great many of us, especially during the past ten years.

The inner transformation process of the human species began very gently many decades ago, intensifying around 1987 and more so again around 1994. By May of 1998 our planet entered the photon belt—an area of space made up of gigantic vortexes of intense bands of light. (Our solar system goes through this photon belt twice each cycle of 24,000 years. The thickness of the photon cloud is such that it takes about 2000 years for our solar system to pass through, and therefore about 10,000 years between each encounter with this belt.) These light bands are highly refined energetic frequencies that require those of us passing through them to be correspondingly aligned to them otherwise their energetic qualities are too much for us to handle. Essentially, the photon belt encounter will be a spiritual experience for us where great advancement in consciousness is possible but only for those who open up to the high frequency of its light rays.

This great cosmic light of the photon belt is now upon all of us—want it or not, we have either opted to ride the waves leading us into the higher dimensions above our present density experience or we have dug our heels into the familiar paradigm of the third dimension, forfeiting the chance to move ahead until the next wave, which won't occur again for some 25,000 years. One way or the other, we have made a decision because there isn’t a fence between the alternative worlds for us to sit on. Therefore, we are either riding the ascension wave with the planet and being transformed into an emerging new species of human, or we are choosing to forfeit the transformation process at this time in order to remain in the 3rd density for another round of numerous incarnations.

Fundamentally, the incoming wave issuing from the Galactic center is about Unity consciousness—the low vibrating levels of selfishness being incompatible with the higher vibrational levels of the higher density levels make it so that those that remain self-oriented are not likely to make it through. At the refined levels of the photon belt space, only the individuals who have gained control over their mental and emotional bodies will experience a merging of their Higher Selves with their physical bodies. Though the human form that results will resemble the present physical form, the refined energies of this higher level will offer a different sort of experience than that of the 3rd Dimension where violence, control, manipulation, war, and addictions are all common fare. Keep in mind that in comparison to the love and compassion that marks the 5th, 6th and 7th dimensions, 3D is coloured by the belief that if we can’t touch it, taste it, see it, feel it or hear it, it doesn’t exist, and so to hold tightly to our fears and our negative thoughts is equivalent to not passing the grade and hence, to stay behind for another round of incarnations. Certainly, the opportunity to rise up to the higher levels will always be there but the galactic wave that is coming through our sector of space a this time in our evolution is a unique experience that will provide us with a "push" that will help us along, and that will not come again for a very long time. Therefore, now is the time to let go of whatever fears and negative patterns remain. Fortunately, through a committed application toward becoming more aware of our thoughts and letting go of those that are hindering us, we will find that there is still time left to release ourselves more fully from the shackles of whatever negativity remains that is holding us back from taking a more committed leap forward.

At present, the intensity of light that is required for the Earth’s purification and preparation for its ascension into the higher density levels is bombarding the planet with a powerful intensity. All beings are feeling the effects of this deep, cleansing energy requiring each of us to do whatever it takes to adjust and flow with the changes. If we are to make it to the next level we must allow the incoming light rays to transform us by being open to seeing and then releasing all our fears and negativities. It certainly will not happen by continuing to live on automatic-pilot consciousness. As evolving earth souls we will be liberated only through our awareness of having chosen to do so.

Though most may say they would like to come along, there is much inner work to be done. This requires a great willingness to apply oneself in whatever way is necessary—we must do our part because there is not going to be a free ride. Those who select to stay behind will be incarnating again in a place that will match their level of awareness. In choosing to stay in the illusion of the old paradigm of the 3rd dimension the body does not become immortalized, and sooner or later the physical form must be vacated so that one can incarnate in another 3rd Dimensional planet similar to this one.

Ultimately, on an individual level, ascension is the process of changing one’s consciousness from one reality, based on one set of beliefs, to another. On a group or planetary level, ascension is the collective expansion of a state of consciousness (set of beliefs) to the point where that consciousness creates a new reality—a new state of being or dimension. The following is a detailed tarot reading on the process of ascension. It is my hope that it will help the reader deal with the changes coming on this, our shared journey, through the higher frequencies of light.

Ascension Process: A Tarot Reading

Main Focus= 8 of Wands
In a broad way of speaking, Ascension is the rush of cosmic adrenaline sweeping us off our feet and advancing us rapidly toward a very specific goal. Literally, we are being carried away by energies that are systematically attempting to streamline our development at a faster rate than we are used to developing, therefore, the very real potential for breaking through to a new level of experience is at hand. In many cases, we will first break-down before we break-through. Although the changes we are undergoing are affecting us at all the different levels of our being, we can more fully appreciate this acceleration by noting how the speed of idea exchange continues to increase by the day in the Internet arena.

Our experience becomes more and more like a frenetic race against time. If we have been doing our spiritual homework and keeping up with that cosmic flow, this can be a most exhilarating and exciting time to be alive. Should we be open to it, our experience will be one of awakening more fully to love so that our obstructions can more readily be overcome through the application of peaceful solutions. Aligned with the flow of cosmic energies, the synchronicities and serendipitous encounters we have with life will confirm at every turn that everything is moving in precisely the right direction and in a timely manner.

However, should we be lagging behind in our cosmic assignments, not actively applying the laws to our everyday life experience, trying instead to continue living by old world standards, we are likely to view the manifest world around us as verging on the edge of collapse. Instead of being aroused by the spiritual impulse to progress with an eye toward all that is highest in us, this burst of energetic advancement will produce a reactive panic in us, hastening the manifestation of disharmony and dissonance in our personal lives, and ultimately affecting the world stage as our discordant impulses ripple out in waves from us to others.

Our diligence at keeping up with the (inner) work required by these fast-paced times eventually causes a break in the fog of our ‘old-world’ confusion so that we are able to perceive a shiny new world-view converging just beyond the fringes of the old one. There is a kind of psychomachia or a battle for the soul that is taking place, the results of our individual efforts determining in a very definitive way who amongst us is ready to “move-on”. It is our ability to clearly see through our erroneous perceptions that is being tested, and in that sense, our ability to cut through the fog of old-world illusions with ease really depends on our efforts to deal with each moment-to-moment with the clarity of our awareness intact.

To see through erroneous perceptions means that we must actively practice logical thinking in all situations, which can only happen when we let go of our foolish indulgence in fantasy, whims, and temptations. Strategies, for instance, meant to gain instant success, be they of the relational or financial sort, are all illusory in nature and rightly belong to the old-world view. If we insist on maintaining these types of unrealistic notions, then we cannot graduate to the next level with our classmates. Or, to put it another way, if ascension were a bus composed of new-world molecules discerned only by an eye composed of new-world molecules, too, then only those who had the means to see the bus could realistically board it. Therefore, being unable to perceive the new-world view has nothing to do with being judged unworthy by some outside agent but is instead a matter of simple mechanics, albeit of the metaphysical kind.

There is no doubt; we are living in interesting times. Humanity is about to make another leap and only those who are actively aligning themselves mentally and emotionally to the rising new harmonies that are forming will find they are able to ride the cosmic waves without stressing their lives at the seams. To align ourselves mentally and emotionally means we must find less appeal in temporary pleasures in favour of greater rewards by countering what we know as the seven deadly sins with contrary virtues: humility against pride, kindness against envy, abstinence against gluttony, chastity against lust, patience against anger, liberality against sloth.

Challenge= The Sun
The biggest challenge to us all is simply being able to say “yes!” to life and in being glad to be alive. Also, being happy with what one already has and not wanting what one doesn’t have, this is still very difficult for many. As well, innocence in our culture is a virtue we are sorely lacking because most of us automatically equate innocence with naiveté, not blamelessness. We’d sooner be considered clever and adroit than be perceived as uneducated and uninformed. And yet, it is a state of innocence that allows us to be playful and spontaneous, optimistic and free. Lacking enthusiasm, we are uninspired and boring. Uninspired and boring people lack the capacity for originality, which makes them rigid and inflexible. But the refinement process of Ascension depends highly on the individual’s capacity to access his or her own well of wisdom directly, and the purity of innocence is the only virtue that will allow us to access truth, this is because the process of Ascension relies not on the mind’s capacity to intellectualize what it already knows, but it’s capacity for envisioning something completely new and novel, and that takes a colourful imagination. Going back to the analogy of the bus, knowing that a bus may be on its way is not enough to get us ON the bus, however much we’d like to be on that bus. We must, through our own efforts, not only get to the stop on time but make certain we’ve got a boarding pass, too. Without a child-like imagination, our ego-inflated reasoning automatically blinds us to anything it hasn’t already seen before. And ascension is nothing less than an entering into of a new-world view that we’ve actively taken part in “conjuring” up. Fundamentally, the underlying premise of ascension is that one must have a hand in the conception of a new-world view for one to gain access to it. Thus innocence, which provides us with the imagination required to participate in the conjuring up of a new worldview, orients us towards a natural state of happiness and contentment so that saying, “yes!” to life becomes as spontaneous as breathing.

Ideally= High Priestess ®
Without our “yes!” energy powering us up, we’ll have difficulty connecting to our dreams, or even knowing what our own feelings are, much less aware of our intuition. Out of touch with, and denying our inner feminine wisdom, disrupts our receptivity to the truth of reality. We are susceptible to being possessed by selfish intentions and misjudgements that make us unable to recognize, much less heed, the natural rhythm and cycle of our planet, which has been orbiting deeper and farther into another area of space/time for some time now. It is as if humanity as a whole has reached the end of a school year, and report cards are due to be handed out. The decision for whether we are to remain behind in the old world or advance ahead to the new one is being made right now even though we may choose to not see it as such.

Basis of Matter= 4 of Pentacles
Those who will be held back will be those who are restricted by their strong, unquestioning hold to the traditions of the past and their compulsive need to secure their lot in life in no uncertain terms. Most of what we often interpret as generosity is in reality more self-serving rather than charitable. The attitude of many remains thus: unless they can see a solid gain for themselves they won’t get personally involved—this is old-world thinking. Justifying that others are better qualified or have more to offer than they do is a rationalization for turning a blind-eye to matters that each of us is equally responsible for rectifying. Out of habit, we reason that if others created the problem then the problem is theirs to resolve, but that’s old world justification. To those who are carrying the torch for the new worldview, the fundamental mantra is “We Are One!” We must keep in mind that all things, good or bad, will in time, by virtue of very specific cosmic laws, circle back to the originator. However, unless we consciously change our attitude in regards to matters of material security—from wanting instant personal gratification to that of knowing that everything returns to ‘sender’ in due time—we can safely predict that the ill effects of seeking our comfort and relief in all things material will continue to haunt us. That is, working so as to accumulate more, inevitably generates a fear of loss. The truth is that true security works in the reverse from what most people believe. Only those who have deliberately stripped away their defences, or had it happen to them circumstantially, know that all advantages and assets come from first trusting in our natural spiritual instinctive-ness to lead us toward doing things that benefit the whole, so that our actions will naturally circle back to us at precisely the moment we need them most. This is how all other living things on this planet live their lives—they live in the moment, trusting they will get what they need, when they need it.

Recent Past= 4 of Swords ®
While many have awakened to the truth of what I am saying here, many have not really had much of a game plan for the changes that are at hand. As a result of this “clueless-ness” the door has opened wide for the false teacher, guru, and authority to walk through and set-up shop in the increasingly ripe spiritual arena. The false, driven as they are by the old-world view regarding security, will naturally take advantage of the opportunity to capitalize financially. In other words, their personal gain is ultimately more important than what they are selling. Perhaps unwittingly many have taken advantage of those who have genuinely sought evolution and have, as a result, added insult to already present injuries. Thus, we have learned the hard way that not all spiritual authorities are cut from the best cloth. Not knowing who to trust has made many evermore cautious about committing themselves to anything or anyone in particular. This is most unfortunate because a fear of moving in any definite direction has caused a great number of us to retreat back into our sleepy ways. Better to do nothing than do something wrong, we reason. We may have come to believe that as long as we are curbing our negativities and getting sufficient respite from the stresses of living that that should be enough. But the act of not adding to the hostilities of the world is a passive stance and is not sufficient to our evolution. Again, a full awakening is not strictly an intellectual affair; it is a WHOLE body experience. This means COMING OUT of our passive seclusions and COPING with life’s stresses head-on. It can never be said enough: we must be active contributors to the changes we would like to see in the world. Our positive contributions serve as a signal or a beacon that tunes us into the new worldview—it is our willing participation that serves as our ‘bus pass’.

Next Turn of Events= The Chariot ®
However, those of us who have been overconfident in the validity of our passive approach will find ourselves extremely daunted by what is coming to meet us in the next couple of years. Not having actively worked with the ever-changing cosmic vibrations, we are in danger of being led off-course by the intemperate ego-self. Because the next couple of years also represent a final opportunity for those who have been lagging behind—to get with the program and transform—how we will handle personal conflicts and problems to opposing ideas and aims will become more and more critical with each passing day. Ultimately, this continues to be a test of maturity in our quest for individuation. If we address this upcoming time with care and diligence we can still make the bus—The Chariot card is, after all, the vehicle of instincts and emotions demanding mastery if we are to make the grade.

What we ourselves bring to the table= 7 of Pentacles
Even as determined as we are to prove ourselves, those of us who genuinely understand what is at hand will still find ourselves subject to feelings of unease, distraction and even melancholia in the next few years, as more and more promises are broken and the standard of living that we have become accustomed to continues to slip from out of our grasp. In order to tend with care all that is important to us we will need to cultivate a lot of patience because despite the accelerated pace of living, progress in the areas that we really would like to see will be very slow in coming mainly because in terms of manifestation, we are still oriented towards the old-world—we aren’t there yet. We must trust that our patience is the tree that will in the long-term bear fruit, in the meantime we must nurture this metaphorical sapling by continually purging the many things that do not serve the aims of the new-world we are together seeding, this includes even people in our lives who are at odds with the vision of the future we wish to more fully engage.

What others around us bring to the table= 5 of Pentacles ®
It appears that many will be actively searching for sanctuary or safe haven in the times ahead, due perhaps to a great many fortune reversals that the years ahead are bringing. It is definitely going to be a period of decline on all fronts. Perhaps extreme economic losses and more natural disasters will affect more and more of us, forcing us to turn to others for help when our own efforts alone meet up with brick wall after brick wall. It would seem that hitting rock bottom is, for many of us, the only thing that will convince us to get busy with the program. As catastrophic as it will likely feel should we find ourselves directly affected by the downward spiralling of the old-world view, we should remember that it is during the disorders of our lives and when our luck has seemingly run out when we are able to finally let-go our facades of self-sufficient superiority to not only take our brother’s hand but to extend our own as well. Therefore, calamities are all opportunities in disguise, for every one of us, but especially for those of us who’ve not had the courage to willingly let go of the past up till now.

Fears/Hopes= The Wheel of Fortune
We say we want change and we sincerely believe that we are open to opportunity when it knocks but because the outcomes are always so difficult to determine, we aren’t really that open to change as a rule, but we will have to say yes! to change in the same way that we are to say yes! to life. The fact is that resources, people, money, and news will be coming and going at a furious pace in the times ahead and so we must be prepared to both ‘let-go’ as well as ‘connect’ at a moment’s notice. On the positive side, all this speeding up will be conducive to the expanding new-world horizon that is naturally causing us to broaden our knowledge of what is really occurring to us at the molecular level, and how that all translates into the manifest world—the one we are leaving behind for the new one we are stepping into. How we respond to all the things that are happening to and around us during the shift between worlds, determines which worldview “solidifies” for us.

Again, if we are only happy when luck is on our side, we aren’t being realistic. Life IS change; to expect anything less is to be living the old-world fantasy that is driven by quick rich schemes. Reality posits that fortunes must necessarily shift and turn, first this way then the other; first for you then for me. When the time is ripe for something to take place, we may interpret it as “lucky”, however, it would be in our best interests to remember that luck has everything to do with preparation meeting opportunity and absolutely nothing to do with blind chance. Remember, when we think we’re ready for something to happen and nothing outside of us conspires to help us along it is that we are being premature—we simply aren’t seeing the bigger picture—We Are One—which must necessarily include others in the equation if matters are to benefit ALL concerned. The Wheel of Fortune in this position of the reading, in terms of ascension, demands that we change our beliefs in regards to what it means to be lucky. According to the new worldview we are the lucky ones should we find ourselves in a position to help others, but if giving of our resources and ourselves is interpreted as loss, then we are continuing to hold too firmly to the old worldview. If we are to advance and improve so that we can meet the changes that are coming with courage and compassion we have to let go of old thinking habits, this means tuning in regularly to discover the habitual thoughts that drive us and nipping in the bud those that are keeping us back from our goal.

Expected Outcome= 10 of Wands
For those who have only recently begun the transformation process from the old-world view to the new one, these will be very oppressive times. Ironically, cramming for exams at the last minute will probably be more taxing and burdensome to those who usually aced it in the old worldview, mainly because making the grade this time depends more on exertion of ethics rather than cunning. In this regard, our experience of information overload with the need for proper internal processing may cause many to feel burnt out. Matters will feel very weighty because the required method for processing is so different than what most people are used to. To maintain awareness of our every thought can be agonizing at the very least, and tiring at best. We will be tempted to give-in to the old worldview that keeps enticing us to fall back into our old ‘sleepy’ ways. But the inherent cruelties and injustices of the old worldview, be it family, government, or work, will all serve to keep us wide awake as its betrayals come to touch each of our lives, either directly or through those we love most, obliging us to recognize that the only way out of the disastrous illusion held together by the old worldview is to change the way we are looking out at it, and our willingness to be responsible agents for the changes we desperately want to see happen.

Ongoing Theme= Ace of Pentacles
The new world will not be created in one fell swoop. The underlying foundation must be carefully set down in place over a period of time. We are now in the early stages of humanity’s evolution project that will require a great deal of time to firmly secure. Our descendants will look back at our time as a renaissance, or a new Golden Age, when enough of us joined our psychic forces together and managed to birth a new timeline that abruptly veered away from the old, causing not only a new world concept to begin forming, literally, but also a completely new type of elevated human being to emerge in large numbers upon the planet as well. Those who are creating this new “garden” through the diligence of their creative imaginations today will naturally penetrate it in a very distinctly tangible way. Our efforts in the creation of this new world will yield many new resources and gifts, to be sure—we will reap a bounty in terms of living in a world where felicity and satisfaction will be the norm. Those who do not make the grade, those who do not actively apply themselves to the process of refinement will remain at the present familiar level of physical density, leading them to wherever the old timeline is presently heading.

Spiritual Advice= King of Pentacles
Our last minute advice is this: we must remain optimistic and confident if that is what we would like to meet, in our environment, as well as, in others. It is also very important that we meet each moment on its terms and savour it. To be comfortable where we are right now we have to be able to derive pleasure from our senses. This means that we have to get out of our heads (where the fantasies are) and make a more complete body connection. To see the value in what we have right now, we have to actively account for what is ours and, one-by-one, count our blessings. To see the divine light in each person we meet we must not be afraid to look into other people’s eyes and deal with what we find there, nor can we be afraid of letting others look into our eyes and allowing ourselves to be really seen. All our needs will be met if only we’d make a habit of consistently meeting the needs of others on a regular basis. If we could but wake each day with the thought that in doing something meaningful for someone else today is the only way to benefit ourselves, we’d not waste another moment thinking “what about me?” We must bring the spirit of pragmatism and a steadfast heart to rule over our valued relationships. By doing so we would be grounding ourselves to the type of quality that the new worldview expects of its inhabitants.
