Astrology
Comment: Astrology is a load of horse sh*t. Do you subscribe to the idea that your destiny is written in the stars? Well, that means you have no control over your own destiny. I run whenever I read the words "calendar" and some "planet / star" in the same sentence.

Response: After many years of thorough study and research into the subject of astrology I am certain and confident that the energies of the planets do in fact affect us. Certainly, though the mainstream media has a silly way of dishing it up for the masses it can't negate the real jewel in the crown of astrology, which happens to be pure physics.
Just as a person's genetics are pretty much fixed (ie. blue eyes aren't likely to turn brown in a given lifetime) the position of the planets at our birth will reflect the basic essence of that particular universal moment by virtue of the unique energies they are radiating. Our basic personality is shaped out of this energetic soup. This translates for each of us as very defined strengths to be used to our advantage, and very specific weaknesses for each of us to overcome. Just as we can either train our muscles to get bulkier with exercise or to atrophy with disuse, we can build an empowering life, one of our own choosing, upon the basic natal characteristics of our personal astrology, or we can allow life to just happen to us, and call it our fate; our destiny.
The genius of astrology is that it sets down a foundation, but though it compels us, it does not necessarily determine us. It is merely the script that describes more clearly the basic character we are "playing", offering up to anyone interested, a more thorough understanding of what they are up against.
On the one hand, very mundane. On the other, extraordinary in its capacity.
"Life is like a game of cards.
The hand that is dealt you is determinism;
the way you play it is free will."
~ Jawaharlal Nehru ~
Simply put, the hand we are dealt is our personal astrology, but our free will is our constant power to ad lib.
