you imply that my comments be frivolous,
but as you are the interpreter of the gift
and I merely the goose who layed the egg
what you the reader imagine it to be
will be the final word on its worth to you only.

for an already full and occupied mind
will narrow its eye suspiciously
rendering any and all offerings
to be of minor significance.
after all, the glare of one's pride,
is a man's most efficient dimmer of inner sight.

yet.. to the prudently humble mind,
in its still emptiness, being ever open,
can hear the intrinsic melody of truth when it peals.
its merits realized, apprehended and valued,
the messenger is ever welcomed, supported and appreciated,
why? because the alternative is simply.. absurd.
